Petaladdin should be configured so each team member has access that matches their responsibilities.

Why roles matter

Roles help protect sensitive information and reduce accidental changes to billing, reporting, or administrative settings.

Common user groups

  • reception or front desk
  • veterinary doctors
  • nurses or support staff
  • billing or operations staff
  • administrators
  1. Give each user a unique account.
  2. Assign the lowest level of access needed for their work.
  3. Review role assignments whenever responsibilities change.
  4. Disable access promptly when a staff member leaves.

Administrative routine

Administrators should periodically:

  • review active users
  • remove unused accounts
  • confirm role assignments remain accurate
  • verify that sensitive functions are limited to trusted staff
